Luxembourg's biggest Wine Festival in Grevenmacher
10th - 12th September 2010
Each second weekend of September, the city of Grevenmacher is the ambassador of the Moselle and its wines from Luxembourg by organizing the traditional „Grapes and wine festival“. This old fortified city with its picturesque streets is the ideal place to celebrate the harvest.
This festival will start on Friday with the enthronement of the Wine-Queen of Luxembourg. HIghlights of the Saturday programme are the afternoon concerts in the cosy car-free shopping streets, a „Showband parade“ at 7.30 PM and fireworks on the banks of the river Moselle at 9.45 PM. Afterwards, both the "Bernard-Massard" winery and the "Vinsmoselle" winery invite to dance all night long.
Another highlight in the programme is a two-hour parade in the streets of Grevenmacher on Sunday afternoon, September 12th, as from 3 PM.
